Why is shipping so expensive?
Food and glass bottles of sauce and Magic Dust are heavy, and shipping is expensive. The price is always adjusted based on volume and on gas and transportation costs. We get the best prices possible and we do pass that savings on to you. We want you to order often!
Why can’t I choose the least expensive method for mailing meat?
Barbecue and beans are perishable items and we want it to arrive in good condition. We use gel packs and dry ice to ship as safely and effectively as possible. Based on previous experience, we know how long it will stay good. Please trust us on this!
My order arrived and the gel packs are thawed. Is the food still good?
If the food is cool to the touch, it’s fine. Unless you live in the desert, the food will stay good all day once thawed.
Can I choose a date I want my package to ship?
Yes, please write the date you want it to arrive in the comments and we will confirm via email.
What is your shipping policy?
We want you to love your 17th Street purchases and we hope you’ll get hooked on our sauce and Magic Dust. That said, people are kind of strange sometimes. For example, if you’ve never tasted our sauce, don’t buy a gallon of it and then try to return it because you don’t like it. Maybe start with a three pack of different sauces so you can figure out which one you like best.
Here's the fine print:
• We're unable to accept returns on perishable food, barbecue sauce, Magic Dust, gift cards, and personalized books.
• T-shirts and sweatshirts may be exchanged for different sizes, but not returned for refund.
• All other items may be exchanged for credit.
• Seminar fees may be refunded up to 30 days prior to the class date. After 30 days, we will refund 75% of the ticket price or issue a credit good for another class within the same year.
